Waiting on Wednesday 2/3

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, and spotlights upcoming novels we just can't wait for! We all know there are a ton of great books coming out this year, but this week, I'm particularly excited for...

Title: Guardian of the Dead
Author: Karen Healey
Release Date: April 1, 2010

In less than a day I had been harassed, enchanted, shouted at, cried on, and clawed. I’d been cold, scared, dirty, exhausted, hungry, and miserable. And up until now, I’d been mildly impressed with my ability to cope.

At her boarding school in New Zealand, Ellie Spencer is like any ordinary teen: she hangs out with her best friend, Kevin; obsesses over her crush on a mysterious boy; and her biggest worry is her paper deadline. Then everything changes: In the foggy woods near the school, something ancient and deadly is waiting.
Taken from GoodReads.

Apparently, this books is infused with Maori culture, mythology, romance, betrayal, and war. Now, if that doesn't sound enticing, I don't know what does! Oh, and I love this creepy cover...love, love, love it!

A random closing note...I just won my very own copy of Dear John from the lovely ladies at Smart Girls Read...thank you so much! Oh, and I will have my review for City of Ashes tomorrow!
