Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, and spotlights upcoming novels we just can't wait for! We all know there are a ton of great books coming out this year, but this week, I'm particularly excited for...

Title: Folly
Author: Marthe Jocelyn
Release Date: May 11, 2010

Three fates intertwine in this moving and passionate love story set in Victorian London.

Mary Finn: country girl, maid to a lord in London

Caden Tucker: liar, scoundrel, and heart's delight

James Nelligan: age six, tossed into a herd of boys

When Mary Finn falls into the arms of handsome Caden Tucker, their frolic changes the course of her life. What possesses her? She's been a girl of common sense until now. Mary's tale alternates with that of young James Nelligan, a new boy in an enormous foundling home.

I love books set in historic times, and I love books with stories that intertwine until a parallel is drawn between all the characters. I think this book sounds amazing - and entertaining - and I have to say that the cover is a bit haunting. I love how dark it is. This is a definite must-read for me! What are you waiting on this week?

  1. Ooh, this one looks great!! I found this one awhile back but had forgotten about it! Thanks for reminding me!!

  2. Love it already! Cant wait to read it.

  3. The cover is definitely unsettling, but the story sound good!

  4. Cool pick. The cover is oober creepy.

  5. I'm also looking forward to reading this one. I love books set in historical times as well, so I can't wait for Folly's release.

  6. The only thing I would not like about this book is the the scondrel. It always upsets me when nice poor girls get mixed up with men like that. Still I guess that is where the conflict is. I will be interested to see how you like it so I will look for your review.

  7. Im with Angel-that cover is very creepy...This one looks really good!!

  8. This looks like a good one. I am kind of mesmerized by the picture on the cover.

  9. You're right, that cover is so dark! I like it though - it's eerie.

  10. Ooh this sounds amazing! I haven't heard of it before either. Great pick :D

  11. This cover is creepy, but I would never have thought about reading this book before having read the summary. It sounds great, though!

  12. Ohmygosh I adore stories like this. Where they intertwine at some point, ya know? Just like you said, :) Something I can't wait to read!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I always do my very best to return the favour :)
