Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. Here are the rules: Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page, and BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn
And now, for my Tuesday Teaser...For those of you who don't know, I do my Tuesday Teasers differently (and yes, I add this disclaimer every time). Each week, I feature two sentences (or more) of something I've written, leave it up all day, then remove it around 11 PM. You're welcome to comment on it, love it, hate it, or simply read it at your leisure...if you'd like, of course. This week's teaser is from my current WIP, RACE.
The Tuesday Teaser is down! Check back next week for more :)
Ha! I've been on the receiving end of that look before, I know it well:) RACE sounds brilliant as always, I keep coming here on Tuesdays hoping for longer snippets:)
ReplyDeleteA Kiss In Time sounds good. I'll be looking forward to your review. Race sounds amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth snippets are good! I hadn't heard about A Kiss in Time. Can't wait to see what you thought of it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute, fun book. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday! Kiss in Time seems like it's hilarious. Cannot wait to read the review!
ReplyDeleteOoh...nice choices! Though the first one makes me curious, the second one grabbed my attention...and it's from your WIP no less..wow! ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your WIP with us, I look forward to them!
ReplyDeleteHere is my teaser from Expiation by Greg Messel (page 1):
ReplyDeleteMy sudden and unexpected return to Seattle was about to trigger a chain of events which completely change my life. Three months from this date my career, my life in San Francisco with my daughter and everything I had known before would be radically altered.
Makes me think of the nasty concierge in French Kiss (Meg Ryan & Kevin Kline) -- her reaction to him is pretty funny. Nice teaser!
ReplyDeleteOOooo I want this book BAD BAD BAD!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to publish that awesome sounding book of yours, I need to know what happens :)
ReplyDeletewow!! I wanna read your book..! Great Teaser!!
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser!
A Kiss in Time sound wonderful, love the teaser, so snippy and funny! As for RACE, wow, too true and frightening especially when all together like that.

ReplyDeleteyour teasers are always so great melissa!!
ReplyDeletelove the teaser from alex flinn too, i'd like to read it!!
Love the Alex Finn teaser. The narrator sounds really funny.
ReplyDeleteAlso, random question...you're American right? I was just wondering why you use British Commonwealth spelling (like favour)?
Love your teaser! Kinda got lost with the Alex Flinn one though.
ReplyDeleteOooh! How I long to read this one! :)
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed A Kiss in Time, and loved Beastly. I am using both these books in my classroom with my students who have read the original fairy tales and are now comparing and contrasting those with Flinn's retelling. I also just ordered her new book Cloaked.
ReplyDeleteI really am excited too about your writing too. Only trouble is I want more please!
Who doesn't speak every European language/
ReplyDeleteOooh, it sounds like Race is the kind of book I'd love to read! Love this teaser!
