What You Need to Know About Dear Diary:
- It's hosted by the lovely Anna of Anna Reads.
- It's a month-long (or more?) look into your teenage mind.
- You will be hopelessly reduced to both giggles (and/or tears) and wretched humiliation when you read your diaries.
- You should really hop over to Anna's blog because her diary entries are better.

Dear Diary,
It snowed again today. About 3 inches. Then it started to rain. We were supposed to go to the Franklin Institute today, but they postponed it because of the weather. We watched the movie Dances With Wolves instead. It was sad and gory. They shot the wolf, horse and two dogs in the movie. That's all I care about. I hate that movie. Oh poops.
Bye now!
What I've learned:
1. Clearly, I have not yet mastered cursing...poops?
2. Short. Choppy. Sentences.
3. I love animals more than humans in movies.
Oh poops! I'm so using that in my everyday language. And when someone asks where in the world I got it from, I can refer them to 13-year-old Melissa.
ReplyDeleteOH POOPS. I will use that on my next review and I will quote you on that. Haha.
ReplyDeletenawww LOVE IT!!! Im kinda scared to see what 13 year old me had to say lol
ReplyDeleteCuuuuute!!! Little Melissa...well, I think you should curse with "poops" more often....LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute post. Love it !!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA you are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute! I love that you have love animals FOREVER! I think 'poops' should become a regular part of your blog vocabulary :)
ReplyDeleteI love that I speak your 13 yr old language! "Oh poops" is a common phrase in my vocabulary - yes, even at 29 yrs old! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI love this feature. Anna has the best ideas! I hope y'all continue these.
LOL, I am not much of a cusser either. Fun post!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I wish I had kept a diary/ journal growing up!
ReplyDelete"Oh, poops"! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't we all love animals more in movies than humans? :P
Awww so adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteMwaahh ha ha Ooooh Poops! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI hated that movie!!
ReplyDeleteUm I still say poops
The only thing I remember about that movie was that it was long...really long...and I got frustrated with the subtitling for the Native American dialogue.
ReplyDeleteI only kept a diary twice in my teen years, and I have no idea what happened to them...which is probably a good thing!
I hate when animals die in movies...:(
ReplyDeletepoops! Love it! I'm seriously laughing!
ReplyDelete"Oh Poops" That sounds startling like Zoey from HON. You weren't 18 here were you? LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts!
Love this! I was with you on the animals thing. To this day I can't watch a film where the animal dies. :P Poops. ;)
ReplyDeleteLol love the not mastering cursing part!!
ReplyDeletePart of me wishes that I kept a diary when I was younger, just so I could look back at my entries and laugh. I loved what you learned, especially #3, though poops is one of the worst attempts at cursing. Possibly ever. Probably ever. Even for a 13 year old.
ReplyDeleteI forgive you and your 13 year old self :-)
Gotta love "poops" for swearing. And I loved the movie Dances with Wolves. We watched it in my English class b/c we read the book.
ReplyDeleteOh poops has got to be my new fave phrase :) How cute were you!!
ReplyDeletehilarious!!!
ReplyDeletePlain and simple! I like your work!
